Just wanted to let everyone know I'm back. My poor computer did finally go to the great electronics store in the sky. So now, I'm working on a new and and I'm going to just say up front.
I hate Vista.
Okay, that's all for now but I'll catch up and try to get a few posts going in a while.

Doing a Snoopy dance. Good to see you Dev, thought your computer might have gone hard drive up.
I've got the Bionic Woman DVD but haven't had time to do any caps yet.

Thanks for the welcome back girls.
I'm still a bit PO'd because both my screen capture and my photo editor no longer will run on Vista. I'm searching for whatever I can get to use and continue playing with pics....wish me luck, finding one that is free or shareware that doesn't cost an arm and a leg with a free hand crop hasn't been easy.

Hey welcome back I'm using Vista too and I spent hours "customizing" the thing so it looks like XP or 2000 without the CPU consuming "AERO mode" and the infamous "security alert" popping each time you want to install anything. And they changed the research mode and so many things... so many bad ideas !! As for free softwares, did you try The Gimp ? There's also XNView but it has way less fonctionalities. Or Picassa ?

Photobucket now has a decent photo editor. Still on XP, no advice on getting a screencap program.

hmmm, you can use VLC or Virtualdub (very efficient but not very user friendly at first)

I have GIMP and am trying to learn how to use it. (not very successfully at the moment) I've looked at Picassa and wasn't thrilled with it. Also, I'm looking at the Photoshop editor and that might work but I really do want something I can use off line.
I will look at VLC and Virtualdub as soon as I get a chance and for some reason, the XNView won't unzip for me.
Anyway, I'm not giving up. I'll find something, somewhere.
